New stuff

This red kitty is a new bag I am working on and the little primitive one is a monster I made yesterday but I am not finished with her yet, I might make her a mixed media piece and add paper and something metal to it....my ideas are not concrete. I'm not too good at blogging as is obvious, I think I do better at Flickr. Haha.

Displays

I think I am going to start setting up a display corner in my home or "workspace" to photograph my stuff. I have always loved shop displays and I think it may be fun to try it at home...make my own props, etc..... Yeah it could be fun. These pics are from an older book, but a total fave of mine. Interior Alchemy. Genius book. The author, Rebecca Purcell has an amazing site.
http://www.organon9worlds.com/ Check it out. It's pretty inspiring.

I have two new items going up on ETSY later. A bag and a monster. This is another bag I am working on right now. I love bags, probably because I am a packrat and a bag is just one more thing to stuff!
I have so many ideas and so little time! Gah!!!! I need to learn patience. Gah!!!!
Yesterday I was telling my husband that I missed those wind storms we had in winter...and today the wind is whipping! I'm kinda feeling weirded out....Twilight Zone like....oooooooooooo.

Portland Gray

Come on already! When is all this gray gonna finally wash away? This gray season seems pretty long!
These are two chairs on my porch. COLOR! The one with the face is a chair that someone ditched across the street. It had laquer that was so old it was flaking off, so I sanded it and painted it. I love to paint on furniture and wood. The other bright green chair I got from my mom's garage, it was brown, too but didn't stay that way for long! I still need to cover the seat fabric. I am thinking of sewing a crazy patchwork for it. Hmm, I dunno, I change with the wind. Hee.
Right now all I have in my ETSY is my sewing craft, but I am looking forward to adding some painted stuff. So I will be on the lookout for some lost wood. I don't know what it is about wood, but I prefer to paint on its texture rather than canvas.
Okay, on to another cuppa coffee!

First Post!

I am excited to finally have an Etsy shop! I will try to be a decent blogger, but with two small kids, ages 3 and 6, well you know... time!

I made these thank you tags yesterday. I am going to attach them to notecards for my first sales, hee!
